Overview:

United Aircraft Technologies (UAT) is a new innovative company that specializes in light weight cable fasteners and monitoring management systems for the aerospace industry. UAT is a group of employees, entrepreneurs, inventors, and designers with a passion to create and fabricate products and solutions for aircraft, rotary and vertical lift vehicles.

The company located in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, is seeking highly qualified engineers for the Engineering Design and Manufacturing department to assist with the company's increasing line of products and production.

Position Summary:

Provide engineering support toward the design, development, validation, testing, and manufacturing of products. Candidate will use state-of-the-art prototyping platforms to transform new technologies into industry leading products and be the first to demonstrate their functionality. The ideal candidate will have strong firmware development skills and electronics knowledge.


Duties and Responsibilities:

- Perform Computer Systems & Electronics Design Engineering roles.

      - Design firmware and software that interoperates new hardware features and enable embedded computer systems.

      - Develop Python/C/C++ firmware for System On Chip (SoC) ASIC's that control complex, electro-mechanical subsystems.

      - Design PCBs using available software.

      - Verify Designs for accuracy.

      - Create Bill of materials.

      - Build and test prototypes.

      - Collaborate across multiple geographies, cultures, and engineering disciplines.

- Perform Quality Engineering Roles.

      - Verify parts design for accuracy and ensure they adhere to company and customer specifications.

      - Implement controls to measure and verify products' function properly.

      - Determine and implement firmware debug and schematic analysis of printed circuit boards for manufacturing.

- Perform debug using oscilloscopes, signal generators, logic analyzers, and bus analyzers.

      - Strong Communication, especially the ability to provide clear and concise summaries of complex problems.

      - Analyze data, identify areas of concern, implement design changes to mitigate non-conforming areas, improve design and document results.

      - Provide reports showing areas of concern. Implement changes and solutions for impedance matching and RF systems.

- Design experiments, analyze, collect data, and perform verification tests to certify new parts function correctly as intended.

- Provide engineering support during the manufacturing process. Implement mechanisms to ensure quality. Interact with manufacturers and suppliers.

- Create training material and provide training for new employees joining the department.

- Write procedures to perform validation tests. Establish measuring criteria methods. Keep company validation check guidelines up to date.

- Design and write reports for management and customers to back up product design.


Skills / Qualifications:

- Studying towards a BS or MS degree in Computer Systems, Electronics engineering, or related disciplines.

- PCB design knowledge.

- Embedded C/C++ firmware and basic scripting using Python to build in house libraries.

- Familiar with ARM processors, I2C, and SPI Flash.

- Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

- Must have a strong attention to details.

- Strong design and creative mindset.

- Leadership skills and team player.

- Highly organized.

- Strong written, verbal, time management and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

- Ability to analyze and propose approaches to resolve technical issues.

- Ability to write specifications and protocols for the development, testing and qualification of new components and parts.

Overview:

The company located in Troy New York has internship openings for the Graphics Design department to assist with the company increasing line of products and production.


Duties and Responsibilities:

- Design compelling graphics to accompany social media posts for UAT and related brands.

- Hands-on design of print media such as flyers, brochures, banners, and pamphlets.

- Experience working with or manipulating templates in InDesign, Photoshop, or Illustrator.

- Design various graphics elements to be used in videos such as lower thirds, titles, infographics, etc.

- Experienced designing various UI/UX elements for web pages and mobile applications.


Skills / Qualifications:

- Junior or Senior in college pursuing graphic design or related field or recent college graduate looking to expand their skill set in graphic design.

- Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Figma (for web and app-based design).

- Strong branding and typography skillset.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- The ability to multitask and prioritize projects accordingly.
