On October 2nd, after months of incubation and lots of hard work for the 100 companies in the MassChallenge accelerator, the top 20 for the MassChallenge cohort in Boston, MA were announced. United Aircraft Technologies has the honor of being one of the selected top 20 companies.

The whole experience has been very rewarding for UAT and the team. At first, the team was honored to be called for round two, then ecstatic to be in the 2019 Boston cohort, and to top it off being part of the first-ever Safety and Security Track cohort made the team feel on cloud nine. However, making it to the top 20 has been a dream and really helped fuel the company and its members with excitement over the future. As a member of the accelerator, UAT had access to different resources, including access to some Department of Defense primes such as BAE Systems as well as mentoring to make sure the team continues hitting their milestones. Thanks to their efforts, UAT has been able to grow and secure collaborations with different entities.

About UAT:

United Aircraft Technologies is creating a new class of clamp for electrical wiring that is modernizing the way maintenance is done. The product, called the interconnecting clamp or ICC, is designed to reduce weight, improve safety for the workers, and simplify maintenance through the use of augmented reality and artificial intelligence. The ICC is 65% lighter than the current alternative and thanks to its design it can make maintenance five times faster. The innovation came into fruition based on the experience of its inventor, a now engineer and previous aircraft mechanic for the US Army and Navy for over 12 years. Currently, UAT is part of the xTechSearch capstone team for the Army Research Lab and an awardee of a phase 1 SBIR contract with DEVCOM.
